Lately a bunch of new movies have been playing in select theatres only. Slumdog Millionaire is supposed to be one of the best movies of the year and I may not be able to see it because it is only playing in select thetres. The same goes for Milk, also one of the year's best. Last week I got all excited cause I saw somewhere that it said Frost Nixon was out but then I realized unless I wanted to go to a special "select theatre" I was gonna have to wait until Christmas to see it. I mean I respect the producers of these movies for doing it because its pretty cool and classy but it's just frustrating to me. What's your opinion on the matter?Tuesday, December 16, 2008
What's with all this select theater business

Hey Csmoviebuff11 i just wanted to say that this website is awesome! For big movie fans like me its great to have a website like this. I 100% agree with you that movie's should come out in all theaters especially movie's that will get alot of viewers. Anyway i love the website and i plan on telling all my friends about it. p.s- rosebballplayer is an odd kid. How did he possibly like sin city?! I really thought it was the worst movie ever

stop posting anonymously. and they are only releasing it in select theaters so they can qualify for this years Oscars. They are waiting for the release so they can release by holidays.
gotta side with both, neugut makes a good point but it is really frustrating that i have to wait to see amazing movies such as slumdog and fost/nixon. hopefully one of us gets lucky nad one of those select theaters is near us. luckily, i had the pleasure of seeing milk in edgewater. Definitely worth the wait for those unlucky ones.
